About newsbun

newsbun is satire on real Indian news. No favourites. No fear. Show the receipts.

Every story, three ways

• The Take is the joke. It is satire, and it is labelled as satire on every card.
• The Wire is the plain version: a short, neutral summary of what was reported.
• The receipts are the original reports, named and linked, so you can read the source yourself.

How a story is made

Every story starts from published reporting, which is linked on the card. The words and pictures are made with AI help and labelled. Pictures are either drawn for newsbun or real, licensed photos with the photographer's credit. newsbun is not a source of record: for anything that matters, read the linked source.

Mistakes and corrections

Every card has a report button. When we fix a fact, the fix is listed on the corrections page.
